(VTIP) is the team affiliated with Virginia Tech that facilitates the commercialization of inventions, innovations and discoveries developed by our faculty, staff and students. Our objectives are to transfer technology created at Virginia Tech to the private sector for the development of products and processes to benefit the public, to encourage and support research relationships with the private sector, and to return income to the inventor and to Virginia Tech to support further research and education.
