Duties: |
| Luna’s Secure Computing and Communications Group at Luna Innovations Incorporated is searching for qualified candidates to contribute to our research and development efforts involving digital circuit analysis, formal verification, and electronic design automation (EDA) software design. Active areas of research currently include modeling, simulation, and structural analysis. Results of this research will be directly applied to Luna solutions that provide innovative answers for DoD mission critical problems. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a related area, an ability to turn rough ideas into defined solutions, and the capability to work as part of a team bringing those solutions to life. The candidate will also exhibit the initiative to seek out new research funding in their areas of interest that align with group competencies. |
Qualifications: |
Required:
• PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related field (or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of comparable experience)
• Experience developing formal digital logic test and verification algorithms
• Familiarity with C++ and Object Oriented Design
• A passion for idea generation accompanied by effective proposal writing skills
Desired:
• Ability to lead software development team
• In-depth knowledge of FPGA architectures and design
• Experience with Verilog or VHDL
• Mathematics background in graph theory, mapping, or combinatorics
