Duties: |
| The Secure Computing and Communications (SCC) Division at Luna Innovations Incorporated is searching for qualified candidates to contribute to a large software engineering effort involving modeling, digital design and simulation, and algorithm development. Many innovative solutions applying to DoD mission critical problems will be researched and developed. |
Qualifications: |
Knowledge of modern software development practices is a requirement. Additional experience which may be utilized include: Electronic Design Automation tool development, graph theory, GUI development, web development, distributed computing, database schema and query design, and process automation. Ability to work without formal specifications and as a part of a small development team is required.
Required:
- Proficiency with C++ and Object Oriented Design
- Experience with Linux and GNU build environment
- Minimum 10 years relevant industrial or academic experience
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Willingness to obtain a DoD security clearance
Desired:
- Electronic Design Automation tool development
- Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL
- Proficiency in Python
- GUI development experience with Linux toolkits
- Database design and utilization (MySQL preferred)
- Web frontend design (HTML, CSS, AJAX)
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks
- Experience with automated build and testing environments
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
