Duties: |
| Commodity Manager will lead a team of supply management professionals to create & implement innovative sourcing solutions to achieve Continuity of Supply, Cost Savings, Employee Development, and Customer Service objectives. The ideal candidate will be accountable for managing approximately $50MM of direct material commodity spend. Commodity responsibility includes electronic and mechanical products sourced globally. Manage the Supply Base to achieve the lowest possible total costs, highest possible quality while maintaining overall delivery performance through excellent supplier partnerships. Willl work to improve cash management position with competitive payment terms, and vendor managed inventory programs. Negotiate supplier contracts, and become the supplier expert in your commodity. Forecast future market trends, and for identifying and developing world-class suppliers. Implement cost saving projects across our Wireless Network Solutions business. Significant cross-functional collaboration is essential for success. Develop and implement annual Commodity business plans for your Commodities. |
Qualifications: |
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree & a minimum of eight years of supply management experience or a master's degree and a minimum of five years supply management experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience. Self-starter, results-oriented, multi-tasking, accountable, and innovative. Supplier negotiation and contract management experience. Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills. Familiar with e-Procurement tools such as Ariba.
